IT-03Preparing your baby for a balanced diet with solid food
Transiting your child from milk to solid food is an important milestone in the young child’s growth journey and it is by no means an easy feat. Doing it right will bring about good and healthy eating habits in later life and the opposite can lead to tormenting mealtimes and testing baby-carer relationship. In this workshop, learn about the essence of transiting the child from milk to an interesting solid food diet, the appropriate food to serve and how to create a varied and balanced menu. No cooking expertise required.

IT-04Engaging your baby through books and fun games

TP-MA01Applying The Montessori Method In Teaching Numeracy
The workshop helps teachers appreciate the Montessori perspective of teaching Maths to young children and adapting at least one practice in their classrooms. Teachers will have hands-on practice to build their own teaching resources which they can immediately use in their classrooms. This is NOT a session to sell materials and teachers don’t need prior knowledge in Montessori. The workshop ties the Montessori concept with the Singapore NEL framework, so teachers will find it applicable and useful.

TP-DOW01Lesson Planning And Documentation Of Chindren’s Learning For Discovery Of The World
The workshop guides teachers in planning a series of DOW lessons using the 5E inquiry model, attune to the Singapore NEL Framework. Ideas and examples of activities, experiments and resources will be shared. Teachers will have hands-on practice to build their own lesson plans in relation to a chosen theme or topic and design at least one activity, which they can immediately use in their classrooms. The workshop ties the 5E inquiry model to the Singapore NEL framework, so teachers will find it applicable and useful.

TP-ODL01 Incorporating Outdoor Learning Into Your School Curriculum
It is research-proven that there is abundance of learning in the outdoors, not just nature and animals but every topic under the sun. This workshop aims to change your mindset about outdoor learning – it is not just an excursion; and open your eyes to the possibilities of learning outdoors. TP-MU01Intergrating The Elements Of Music With Learning Domains
Using simple percussion instruments and the voice, teachers attending this workshop will learn to develop lesson plans which integrates the elements of music with the other domains of learning such as language, maths, art and motor skills. Learners will also experience planning a performance item using the strategies introduced.

TP-PD01 – Designing Developmentally appropriate gross and fine motor activities to enhance conitive, social and emotional development
The learners of this workshop will get to design a series of activities to promote children’s gross and fine motor skills development, in line with corresponding developmental milestones. They will also learn to infuse these activities with elements to promote children’s cognitive, social and emotional growth.

TP-DL01 – Designing Differentiated learning materials
Every child is unique and learn at different pace, in a variety of styles. How can a teacher cater to these varied learning manners in a classroom? Through this workshop, practitioners will understand the importance of providing a differentiated learning experience and how to create learning resources with levelled objectives or instructions to cater to the different learning needs of the children in her class.

TP-IC01 – Creating lessons that involves at least 2 learning domains and a learning disposition

Are your teachers struggling with lesson planning which requires them to integrate at least 2 learning domains and/or incorporating learning dispositions? Through this workshop, educators will be guided in a step by step manner on how to design a lesson, integrating at least 2 learning domains and inculcating positive learning dispositions.

TP-PA01 – Portfolio Writing Guide
In this workshop, learners will discuss and practice the language and framework of documenting children’s learning, progress and assessment. Useful formative assessment tools will be introduced. At the end of the workshop, learners will acquire the necessary skills, including questioning techniques, promoting children’s free expression and art assessment, to format an effective children’s learning portfolio using appropriate technology.

TP-PR01 – Enhancing Reflective Practices
The cornerstone of an effective teacher is being reflective. How can Centre Leaders encourage teachers to be more reflective in their teaching practices, lesson planning and evaluation? Using David Kolb’s Experiential Learning Cycle, the participants of this workshop will learn to use simple yet practical techniques to reflect on their own teaching practices and make adjustments accordingly. At the end of this workshop, educators and leaders will be exposed to a variety of tools used for cultivating reflectiveness.

TP-HBL01– Conducting Effective Online Lessons For Young Children
One of the new norms arising from the Covid-19 pandemic is online learning. In preparation for the Virus X, schools should be prepared for Home-based Learning at short notice. Hence, HBL should be a routine exercise like the bi-annual fire evacuation drill to help teachers, students and parents get used to and be ready when the need arises. Are your teachers equipped with online teaching methodology and skills? How can teachers engage young children effectively and meaningfully online? This workshop will introduce technology and applications that can help teachers interact and guide young children online.

– Boosting The inquisitive Power Of  Your Child
Children are naturally inquisitive. They are keen to know how things around them work and will it still work if they do it differently. This is a powerful skill which keeps our world moving. However, the natural inquisitiveness may diminish if the child is inappropriately guided. How then, can we boost the inquisitive powers of young children? Based on the 5E inquiry model, this workshop guides parents in using appropriate questions to promote children’s higher- level thinking.

HS-04 – How To Help In Your Child’s Language Development
It has been proven that language development is crucial for the holistic development of children. Strong language ability helps to build skilled communicators and keen learners. Research has shown that children who developed language early in age are socially and emotionally more effective, which leads to better academic performance in school and success in adulthood. This workshop equips parents with the know-how to use common household items and the natural home environment to create a conducive and fun learning culture for the little ones with the aim of helping children build a strong language foundation from a young age, encompassing the 4 areas of language development.

HS-05 – Promoting A Love For Mathematics From A Young Age
Mathematics does not have to be a dreaded subject or a nightmare if you start on the right foot! If you look around us, we are surrounded by Mathematical concepts and usage daily. It can be a fun and useful experience if viewed from a positive lens. Mathematics is an essential life skill that should be inculcated from young. Facilitating young children’s play in the right way can help to build their Mathematical abilities and love for the subject. At this workshop, parents will experience interesting activities that promote pre-Maths skills and early Mathematical concepts, using household items in the comfort of their home.

LD-SP01 – Vision And Mission Statement Crafting/Revision
This is a personal coaching session with the Centre Leader and Senior Teachers to craft out or revise the centre’s vision and mission statement and incorporating core values, which emphasize on the holistic development of children. The session will also help the participant(s) in planning activities to engage the centre’s teachers, parents and children in understanding, articulating and embracing the centre’s VMCV. Thereafter, long term and short-term goal setting can then be achieved.

LD-CU01 – Whole Year Curriculum Planning Based On The NEL
This is a personal coaching session with the Centre Leader and Senior Teachers, in preparation to lead the teachers in curriculum planning guided by the NEL framework and aligned with the centre’s VMCV. The participants will be coached in helping the teachers plan progressive curriculum across all levels for the whole year, incorporating current issues and learning beyond the classroom.

LD-OV01– The Leadership Enterprise
This workshop aims to help EC Centre Leaders adjust their perspective of leadership to embrace the entrepreneur disposition through role play and scenario building.
